Island Peak climbing in Khumbu Himalayan range, the Peak is also known as Imja Tse and is one of the most popular trekking peak climbing in Nepal. Island Peak is the most sought after trekking destination because of its challenging geographical conditions. Everest base camp trek and Island peak Climbing can be started via the air service from Katmandu to Lukla or a drive to Jiri of 184 km. The Island Peak climbing starts trek from Lukla and then continues up past Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, Dingboche, Lobuche, Everest base camp and return to Chukung valley, Imaja Glacier to the Base camp of Imja Tse or Island peak and returns via the same route to Kathmandu.

Island Peak at 6189 metres, is not among the Himalayan giants, but nevertheless provides an elating mountaineering experience to the beginner and expert alike. No technical mountaineering skill is necessary to climb Island Peak, simply a high level of fitness and the desire to push yourself to the limit.
